WRc has a 90-year history and 120 staff, and a mission to drive innovation and excellence through collaboration throughout the world of water and gas, environment and resource management. Stakeholders include regulators and government, utility companies, industrial equipment suppliers and waste management companies. The WRc Instrument User Group (IUG) began in 2009 specifically for water company users of process instrumentation, promoting the sharing of knowledge and experience between water companies, and is now supported by almost all the UK Water Companies.
The WRc Instrument User Group presented two awards at the recent WWEM exhibition, one of which was won by Pulsar Process Measurement for Best After Sales Service. The award was introduced by IUG to recognise the instrument supplier that, through prompt after-sales support, goes the extra mile to ensure that their technology meets the needs and expectations of the water companies.
Commenting on the award, IUG Chair Dr Leo Carswell said, “Pulsar stood out from the other suppliers, with the IUG members impressed with strong account management and willingness to meet regularly, resulting in speedy response and resolution to technical issues.”
For Pulsar, Director of Sales and Marketing Alistair MacKinnon said, “We have built our business on innovation, attention to detail and our ability to respond to our customers, and it is great for that to be recognised by a key industry group such as IUG. We are very proud, and we thank Dr Carswell and the IUG members that voted for us.”
