Pulsar Process Measurement's non-contacting ultrasonic level measurement instruments have been selected as part of the Muda River Flood Mitigation Project. More than 100 Pulsar Blackbox units are to be supplied through HSA Asia, Malaysia, along with Pulsar dB10 transducers. The project provides vital real-time tracking of river level, warning of potential flooding risks in the Kedah and Pulau Pinang areas. 'It makes us very proud to be selected as the supplier of this equipment which will help the local people and industries of the region' says Simon Tee - Managing Director HSA Asia. 'The Muda River is approximately 180km long, and supplies water to many agricultural, industrial and domestic users. We are helping to ensure that there is no repeat of the terrible floods of October 2003, that cause so much damage in the region. Pulsar equipment was selected following harsh testing to ensure it is the most accurate and robust for this application. Pulsar Ultrasonic instruments have proven time and again their ability to operate in the harsh environments in Malaysia.' 'Pulsar Asia/Pacific is very aware of the importance of this project' adds Colin Murphy - Pulsar Regional Manger Asia/Pacific. 'When you see the amount of work carried out on the Muda River already, we share with HSA Asia a great sense of responsibility to the people and industries of the region, and with strong equipment design for such applications and excellent local support we will ensure successful implementation. Our existing river, reservoir and Open Channel monitoring activities in the Region will grow over the coming months as we supply more projects.' Pulsar Process Measurement Limited is a leading global supplier to industrial process and the water/wastewater industries including non-contacting ultrasonic devices and sludge interface monitoring equipment.
