Pulsar's 2010 acoustic sensor was chosen by North West farmers to give a reliable and robust detection of animal feed falling on a metal chute. The sensor works by differentiating between low frequency noise such as vibration and machinery noise whilst listening to a specific frequency of solid impacts. The main advantage identified by NWF was that the product was non invasive and required no maintenance whilst automatically turning on a dosing system when the product was detected.
